The final energy consumption and CO₂– emissions of four renewable energy heating systems has been compared with one conventional heating in a new study by FROnT.

The study used eight types of reference building, differing in size (single family, multi-family) building standard (new built, refurbished) and location (southern Europe, northern Europe). The renewable energy sources used in the study are air-source heat pump, solar thermal, biomass and geothermal heat pump.
